Fireworks. Our fourth of July was epic this year. We had a simple picnic, and invited friends over for sparklers. It must have been 25 years since I’d done sparklers. Growing up in the city, it wasn’t really what we did. I was surprised by what an intimate experience it was. The sky cooperated. It lit up in a fantastical way I’ve almost never seen before or since.
